Mitakuye Oyasin (All Are Related) is a phrase from the Lakota language. It reflects the world view of Interconnectedness held by the Lakota people.[1]

The phrase itself, and the underlying belief of interconnectedness with all creation, is a part of man Yankton Sioux prayers,[2] and is found in use among Lakota, Dakota and Nakota people.[3][4]

The phrase translates as “all my relatives,” “we are all related,” or “all my relations.” It is a prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life: other people, animals, birds, insects, trees and plants, and even rocks, rivers, mountains and valleys.[2]

Shoot, Kill, Spin, Repeat
A look at police propaganda.

Shoot, Kill, Spin, Repeat

Shoot, Kill, Spin, Repeat - A look at the standard playbook of America’s murderous police.

It’s a story we see all too often… Police shoot and kill someone, release photos or videos with strategically placed red circles, and the media dutifully perpetuates how the police have framed what it is we think the photos or videos show us.

Longview PD use enhanced media to frame events.

The most recent case of murder at the hands of police and selective, post-murder propaganda, is the case of 17 year-old Kristiana Coignard. Kristiana was shot and killed in the lobby of the Longview Police Department on January 22nd in Longview, Texas. Police released the video, without audio, on January 28th only after a campaign launched by the hacktivist collective Anonymous under the hashtag Operation Stop Lethal Force On Children (#OpSLFOC).
